The name DRUMCREE originates from Northern Ireland, meaning 'Ridge of the Boundary'. On a emerald slope near the River Bann in the County of Armagh sits Drumcree Parish; the church in which I was baptized and my grandfather is laid to rest.
Originally from Northern Ireland, I spent my formative years in the Midwest, relocating to Los Angeles in 1998 to pursue an career in film and television. I'm still a card carrying member of the Screen Actors Guild.
Art has always been a part of my life. As a teenager I was always doodling or planning my next project. My Grand Prix Pinewood derby car was the slowest block of wood of the track but was the most stylish.
After meeting a like minded contractor in LA, I spent many years aiding in remodels; kitchens, bathrooms, offices, etc. But I soon realized it was the design aspect that most interested me; the finishes, the colors, the details. After designing a couple of pieces of reclaimed furniture for myself, I started building original pieces for friends, which led me to knew clients and eventually designing my own original pieces.
I'm committed to sturdy reclaimed original designs; pieces that are relevant and timeless.
A hundred years from now, I hope someone finds a Drumcree Design in the corner of an antique shop, shakes the dust off, and proudly displays it once again.
